annual picnic update!

Annual picnic at the Great Island Commons
301 Wentworth Road, New Castle, NH 03854
August 20th, 2022

Park opens at 9am, and we will provide lunch at noon.  The picnic wraps up at 4pm but you are free to stay all day for the beach and park.  Bathroom and playground are available on site, and our pavilion is #3 near the bathroom.

The gate admission for the park is $15 per car, a huge increase from the last time.  So, we were able to obtain a donation from T-Mobile to cover picnic costs.  So, it’s free for you guys to come and eat with us!

A vlog for the Deaf community members about admission to the Allies conference

image description: white woman with brown and gray hair tied back, wearing a long sleeve green pull-over shirt and glasses, sitting in her house with the camera panned up towards a wood ceiling, white walls, and a dish cabinet

transcript: “Hi, this is Kristy Stellato. This vlog is about the Allies Conference coming up for April 22-24 in Nashua. The specific group of people this vlog is geared for is the Deaf community members. I hope you will come to the conference to talk about allies, listen to presenters, etc.

You may have noticed the registration fee for a Deaf community member is $50, and if that’s too much, you can ignore that form. You can email NHRID for a separate form for *free* registration. I will spell out the email address and then screen text will show up to show the address:

NHRIDTREASURER@GMAIL.COM

I hope you will come to the conference!”

St Patrick’s Day party

We are hosting a St. Patrick’s Day party at the American Legion Post in Hooksett on March 19th from 5pm – 8pm.  Due to COVID, we won’t be allowing a potluck, but we will provide a corned beef dinner, a pasta dish, and some simple desserts.  Masks need to be worn at entry until sitting at the table.  We will bring food to the table, so no need to line up for a plate.

Admission is the price of membership ($12 for individual, $20 for couple, $6 for senior citizen, $10 for SC couple, and $6 for college students).  We will have a few activities, like the best St. Patrick’s outfit contest, bead game, and 50/50 raffle.
